Founding members of EAFA, Mick and Cheryl Gatto, hosted a Gala Event to raise funds to provide recreational opportunities for autistic young adults and adolescents who rely on advocates or support workers to access and enjoy autism friendly equipment in safe and social environments, free from anxiety for them and their families. The corporate event, held at the Hyatt Place Essendon Fields and produced by Perfect Events, raised over $2 million through table sales, silent and live auctions and the raffle of an Alfa Romeo donated by Bobby Zagame. Apart from raising funds to improve the lives off those with autism the opportunity to raise awareness around autism has been invaluable and EAFA plan to build on this momentum with the help of their Board and Friends of their Foundation.
